Start With a Hike Through the Forest

Start your Saturday with a hike through the mixed hardwood forests at Trail Hub. Whether you’re a casual hiker or looking for something more challenging, there’s a trail for every pace:

???? Trail Hub Loop
3.4 km · Easy · ~55 min
A peaceful, forested loop perfect for a light morning hike. Minimal elevation, great for all skill levels.

???? Grunt Trail
4.2 km · Moderate · ~1 hr 15 min
This trail mixes flowy singletrack with rolling terrain, offering a satisfying, steady challenge without being too technical.

???? Extended Grunt Trail

A step up in intensity, this loop features more elevation and longer climbs — ideal for experienced hikers looking to break a sweat.

Then Settle In for a Locally Inspired Lunch at Nest

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, settle into Nest our Feast On® Certified restaurant nestled right at Trail Hub. With a focus on seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients, NEST is the perfect place to unwind and reward yourself after a hike.

Patio season is just around the corner! Starting in May, you’ll be able to enjoy your lunch outdoors on our scenic patio, complete with views of the surrounding forest. It’s the ideal setting to sip something cold, soak up the sun, and recap your trail adventure.

Here are a few of our lunch favourites:

Fried Chicken Sandwich

Buttermilk-marinated chicken breast, Rosewood Estates hot honey, pear & cabbage slaw, and a brioche bun. Served with frites and house aioli — comfort food meets culinary craft.

Durham Salad
Ontario mixed greens, seasonal fruit, walnuts, quinoa, and Mariposa Dairy goat cheese, finished with an Ontario peach vinaigrette. Fresh, light, and energizing — with optional protein add-ons.

Maple Pecan Crusted Salmon
Atlantic salmon glazed with local maple syrup and crusted with pecans, served with sweet potato mash and seasonal vegetables. This one hits all the right notes after a morning on the trails.

At Nest, you’re not just enjoying a great meal, you’re tasting the region. Trail Hub proudly sources over 80% of its food, beverage, and ingredients from within Durham Region and Ontario, supporting local farmers, producers, and makers with every bite and sip.
